TO FAUX FINISHES
This
Fireplace started out as a regular wall with a white cement arch and mantle.
To unify the Fireplace and make it seem as if it was all one piece of limestone
we started by giving it a uniform texture. We
painted everything with Ralph Lauren's sand paint
in deep gold. Over that we troweled on a thinned
white fresco texture which gives it a stone look. Then
we glazed over that with artist oils for depth,
and for the finale coat we
rubbed
wax for that polished sheen.
